Asian-Pacific Int’l Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibitionhas been successfully held 12 versions since 1997 in Shanghai,Guangzhou and Beijing.Nowadays,APPLAS has developed into one of the most important plastics and rubber exhibitions in China.Having been held for 12 versions,APPLAS has been well recognized by plastics and rubber companies and industry associations.With proven track records,APPLAS has been successfully creating enormous business opportunities for suppliers and buyers in the industry.
2009年、2012年“亚太国际塑料橡胶工业展览会（APPLAS）”连续两届荣获由中国轻工业联合会组织，会同贸促会、商务部、工信部等部门参与评审的“中国轻工业十大优势特色展览会”称号。

塑料橡胶行业是改革开放以来中国发展最快的行业之一。2011年，中国塑料制品产量达5474.31万吨，橡胶消耗量为690万吨左右，位居世界第一。全球知名品牌纷纷将生产工厂移至中国，中国已经成为全球塑胶制造基地。近几年由于与国外合资、合作的快速发展，我国塑胶产品的制造水平也获得了大幅提高，欧美跨国行业巨头加大了在中国的采购力度。
Since the Reform and Opening of China,plastics and rubber industry is among the fastest development fields.The output of plastic products in China 2009 was 54.74 million tons,and rubber consumption was 6.9 million tons,which ranked the Ist place the word.The global famous brands have been moving their manufacturing plants to China and China has become the word plastics and rubber manufacturing base.Thanks to the foreign joint venture and collaborative enterprises in China,the quality and technology of China plastics products manufacturing have been improved by a big margin.The multi-national industrial magnates place more purchase orders in China.
经过十二届的发展，亚太国际塑料橡胶工业展览会已成为中国塑料橡胶行业重要的专业展会之一，成为中国塑料橡胶企业寻求技术合作、参观采购与开拓市场的主选展会。

　　“亚太展”也是唯一由中国轻工业联合会、中国石油和化学工业联合会、中国机电产品进出口商会、中国轻工业机械总公司、中国轻工机械协会等多家塑料橡胶工业及相关行业的权威机构主办并得到由建设部科技发展促进中心、中国工程塑料工业协会、中国包装技术协会塑料包装委员会、中国非金属制品模具协会、中国化工装备总公司、中国膜工协会、中国阻燃学会、中国氯碱工业协会、中国聚氨酯协会、中国塑料加工工业协会氟塑料加工专业委员会、中国氟硅有机材料工业协会、中国抗菌工业协会、中国色母粒协会等数家相关部门及协会鼎力支持的行业展览会。
　　“亚太国际塑料橡胶工业展览会”将展会定位于“国际化、高水平，市场导向和技术导向”，适应了塑料橡胶工业的发展速度，与国际性展览业接轨，促进行业的发展，切实发挥了展示新产品、促进行业交流及开拓国内外市场的作用，更好的适应了塑料橡胶行业技术进步及产品更新速度的现状，有利于充分地筹备及组织，使展览会发挥更大的作用。
　　APPLAS2011总展出面积达50000平方米，汇集了来自国内外的826家塑料橡胶行业的精英，集中展示了他们各自的最新加工技术、工艺、材料及装备吸引了50多个国家和地区的观众42433人次。
　　第十三亚太展将汇聚来自世界各地的近千家海内外知名企业展示行业前沿的新技术、新工艺、新材料、新制品、新装备。预计展出面积将超过60000平方米，并将有超过60000名来自世界各地的业内人士及采购商前往参观。使本届展览会必将成为国内外企业充分展示企业形象、提高产品知名度、扩大市场份额、加强合作交流的最佳良机。
“第十三届亚太国际塑料橡胶工业展览会”举办同期，还将组织塑料橡胶行业的高层论坛、“亚太塑料先进加工技术峰会”及各专业的行业活动，并在现场举办多场技术交流会、研讨会及新产品发布会等相关配套活动，将使之成为亚太国际塑料橡胶工业展览会规模空前的行业盛会。
